You will be guided in the creation of this simple, yet beautiful spirit doll. Engineering, construction and proportion for a well-balanced doll sculpture will be taught. A simple wood-burned design on the body, and techniques for placement of facial features gets you started. The sculpture will be enhanced with a beautiful copper jingle cone headdress with horse hair, and feathers in the background. A leather cape will give it a sophisticated finish. Embellishing with a turquoise necklace and mounting on a wooden stand will complete your project.
This class is offered on Friday. Please be aware that there will not be food available on-site or nearby. If you are not bringing your own lunch, it is recommended to purchase a sandwich as well, which will be delivered to you.
