On half of a Canteen Gourd, you will have fun reviewing or learning different carving techniques and patterns. Any of these techniques will be easy to integrate into any of your designs for adding beauty and interest to your pieces. You will learn step-by-step how to carve a faux cabochon in the center as a focal point, basic filigree, a more detailed and advanced filigree, scallops, stippling, outline carving and beveling simple leaves. The tricks and the right steps of sanding for a very smooth and successful result will also be taught. You will have plenty of time to practice and finish all of these samples, and this could become a very attractive wall piece when colored.
