Notice: sales have been suspended, as the 2020 Gourd Art Festival has been postponed until 2021 due to COVID orders.

We will be stepping outside the box in this class, using unconventional tools to apply paint. One does not always have to use a paint brush. I find that makeup sponges, Q-tips, micro brushes and paper towels, add interesting textures and possibilities when painting a gourd. You will learn blending techniques and how to apply color theory to your work. You will start with a pre-burnt lined, original design, to ensure completion of your piece, ending with a contrasting rim of pine needles, that you can adorned with beads. Depending on your pace, all students should be able to go home with a beautifully finished piece.

(All materials will be supplied for this class, but there will be a limited number of heat guns. You may wish to bring your own to ensure you do not have to wait for one to become available.)
