2022 Virtual Gourd Competition

Amador Gourd Artists is thrilled to host the 2022 Northern California Virtual Gourd Competition. Artists of all skill levels are welcome to enter, with categories open from Novice to Masters.
Gourd Competition Themes
Artists entering in the Novice and Intermediate divisions can choose from any of the following categories:
- Pyrography
- Carving/Fretwork/Filigree
- Painted/Coloring Techniques
- Weaving/Coiled
- Mixed Media
- Anything Goes
Artists entering in the Advanced and Master divisions do not have a specific category. Using any technique and medium (or combinations of techniques and mediums) you prefer, choose from the following themes:
- Whimsical
- Wild Things
- Modern Art
- Cultural
Important Dates
- August 15th: Mailed entries must be received by this date
- August 19th, from 10am – 4pm: Entries are submitted in person
- August 20th at noon: entries judged
- August 20th from 4pm – 5pm: entries released/entry pickup
- Week of August 22nd: mailed entries returned
